Nikon MC-20 and MC-21A [Camera Accessories]
Nikon ML-1はワイヤレスで便利だが、トランシーバーとレシーバーがセットで、それぞれに電池が必要となる。以前、伸ばした一脚につけ、高い位置から桜の花を撮るときに重宝したが、軽装備にしたいときに嵩張ってしまう。三脚にカメラをセットしブレ防止に使うときは、10ピンターミナルに接続するMC-20が手軽に使えて便利である。電池を入れるようになっているが、カメラ本体から電気が供給されるようなので、電池がなくても使える。ケーブルの長さは80cmある。長さが足りない時はMC-21Aで3m延長できる。

When the length isn't enough, 3 m can be extended by MC-21A.

Nikon ML-1は1976年ころの製品である。キセノン管を利用した赤外線の変調発光で60m離れたところからカメラのシャッターを切る装置である。ストロボの発光にも使えるが、リモコンとしてしか使用したことがない。モータードライブに2ピンターミナルに接続して使った。Nikon D800などのデジタル一眼には10ピンターミナルしかないので、2ピンを10ピンに変換するMC-25を介する。
40年経った今でも、問題なく使える。
