Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2X DGX Nikon N-AF [Lens Accessories]
Kenko TELEPLUS HD pro 2X DGX Nikon N-AFは2018年7月に発売された。
レンズとカメラの間に装着し、レンズの焦点距離を2倍にし、F値も2倍になる。F値が2倍になるということは4倍暗くなることを意味する。
手持ちのレンズで使えるか試してみた。
AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED 70-200mm F2.8G（IF）、Ai AF-I Nikkor ED 300mm F2.8D(IF)とTELEPLUSとでは問題なく使えた。
AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR、AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm F2.8G EDとTELEPLUSとでは条件によりピント合わせが不安定になった。これらは明るい遠景では使えるが、暗いところや60mmでクローズアップではオートフォーカスが作動せずマニュアルフォーカスでピントを合わせることになる。

It is mounted between the lens and the camera, doubling the focal length of the lens and doubling the F-number. Double the F-number means four times darker.
I tried to use it with my own lens.
AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED 70-200mm F2.8G (IF), Ai AF-I Nikkor ED 300mm F2.8D (IF) and TELEPLUS could be used without any problem.
Focusing became unstable depending on the conditions between AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f / 4.5-5.6G ED VR, AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm F2.8G ED and TELEPLUS. These can be used in bright distant views, but autofocus does not work in dark places or in close-ups with a 60mm lens, and you have to focus manually.

レンズの無限遠調整 Adjust the infinity of the lens [Lens]
前の記事に書いたように、Samyang 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMCのピントリングが無限遠まで回らなかったので、ネットで調べたら調整方法の記事が見つかった。
自己責任で分解し数十m先の被写体で調整し、実際に遠景で確認したらほぼ無限遠でピントリングの回転が止まるようになっていた。
手順は次の通り。
①ピントリングのゴムを外すと3つのリングが見えてくる
②3つのリングを留めているテープをはがす
③ゴムの下にあるリングを固定している3つのねじを外す
④カメラに装着しできるだけ遠くのものにピントを合わせ、ピントのピークの遠景側でいもねじを締める
⑤距離指標のリングを∞に合わせる
⑥テープで3つのリングを固定する
⑦①で外したゴムをもとに戻して作業完了
もともとは星空の撮影用に購入したので無限遠でピントリングが止まるのは便利だ。
As I wrote in the previous article, the focus ring of Samyang 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC did not turn to infinity, so I searched online and found an article on how to adjust.
I disassembled it at my own risk, adjusted it with a subject several tens of meters away, and when I actually confirmed it in a distant view, the rotation of the focus ring stopped at almost infinity.
The procedure is as follows.
1. Remove the rubber of the focus ring and you will see three rings
2. Remove the tape holding the three rings
3. Remove the three screws that secure the ring under the rubber
4. Attach it to the camera, focus on something as far away as possible, and tighten the potato screw on the distant view side of the peak of focus.
5. Set the distance index ring to ∞
6. Tape the three rings
7. Put back the removed rubber and complete the work
I bought it for shooting the starry sky, so it's convenient that the focus ring stops at infinity.

Samyang 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMCは、マニュアルフォーカスではあるが、他の14mm F2.8のレンズと比べると価格が1桁少ないくらい安い。しかし安い分、歪曲収差とコマ収差が大きい。言い換えると、このレンズには収差があることを理解して使う必要がある。
私の所有するレンズでは10mより遠方ではピントが合わず、分解して調整した。
フルサイズで14mmの画角は日常の視界をはるかに超えるもので、手頃に超広角の世界を楽しむには、それなりの価値はあると思う。
これはニコン用であるが、電子接点があり、絞りリンクをF22にセットする必要はあるが、オート露出が可能である。
The Samyang 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC is a manual focus lens, but it's an order of magnitude cheaper than other 14mm F2.8 lenses. However, because it is cheap, distortion and coma are strong. In other words, you need to understand that this lens has aberrations.
The lens I own was out of focus at a distance of more than 10m, so I disassembled and adjusted it.
The full-frame 14mm angle of view goes far beyond everyday vision, and I think it's worth it to enjoy the ultra-wide-angle world at a reasonable price.
This is for Nikon, but it has electronic contacts and the aperture link needs to be set to F22, but auto-exposure is possible.
